Jane Alois Stein's Costume Designs include the Off-Broadway productions of Bill W. and Dr. Bob for the New World Stages, and Israel Horovitz's Lebensraum for the Miranda Theatre. Regional credits include: Adam Rapp's Animals and Plantsfor the American Repertory Theatre; A Midsummer Night's Dream for the American Repertory Theatre Institute; Painting It Redfor the Berkeley Repertory Theatre; The Imaginary Invalid for the Trinity Repertory Theatre Consortium; A Lesson From Aloes/ for the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis; Sweeney Todd for the Connecticut Repertory Theatre; the world/ /premiere of Uncle Broadway at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago. Work at other theatre's include designs for the New Repertory Theatre, The American Stage Festival, Bloomsberg Theatre Ensemble, Commonwealth Shakespeare, Gloucester Stage Company, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, North Shore Music Theatre, Theatre By The Sea.
Opera productions include Eight Songs For A Mad King, and Heart Of A Dog for the Boston Musica Viva; and The Boar for the Opera Theatre of St. Louis.
Before coming to VT, Jane previously taught Costume and Scenic Design at Wheaton College in Massachusetts for 12 years. She is a member of the United Scenic Artist Local 829 (USA), the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT), and the Costume Society of America.
