Necia has been with the Theatre Arts Department for the past 15 years as Costume Shop Manager and Summer Arts Festival Costume Designer. She also has designed costumes for over 12 productions for Opera Roanoke including Cosi fan tutti, Carmen, L’Orfeo, and Amahl and the Night Visitors. Necia previously taught costume and set design at Transylvania University. She holds a BA from Oklahoma City University in Speech and Theatre, a MA from Indiana University in Costume Design and a MFA from VT in Costume Design.
