A good designer seeks to enhance and support a directors vision with appropriate choices. I follow this philosophy with care for each project that I do, not matter the size. Attention to detail and understanding of the master vision is essential to how I work. Each part of the set or lighting design is meant to move, breathe and develop with the characters of the plot. Elegance in design is more than just the surface of the scenery or the sculpting of the lights. A set design and lighting design that are well executed will have clean technical elements and construction. Nothing makes a performer feel at home like a set that looks well manufactured and lights postioned and secured as they should be! Craft is as important as artistry and gives all involved a sense of pride and accomplishment for a job well done.
